The Tallahassee Police Department has announced a new video series called Hometown Heroes, which will feature officers from Tallahassee, Leon County, and nearby areas. The five-part series aims to highlight the personal backgrounds of local officers and their commitment to serving the community.

According to Chief Lawrence Revell, “Every officer has a story, and these stories remind us that every badge represents a neighbor, a friend, and a community member who calls Tallahassee home. The Hometown Heroes series gives our citizens the chance to see the people behind the uniform – their character, their values, and the hometown pride that motivates them every day.”

The first episode is scheduled for release on Tuesday, September 30. It will be available on TPD’s social media channels and website. New episodes will follow weekly, each focusing on a different officer.

Chief Revell encouraged residents to participate: “We invite the community to watch, share, and celebrate with us. We believe this series will deepen the connection between our officers and the community we serve.”

More information about Hometown Heroes and other department initiatives can be found at JoinTallyPD.com or through TPD’s Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages.
