At around 11:14 a.m. on October 20, the Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a fire at a single-story restaurant on West Pensacola Street. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building.

Fire crews set up aerial equipment and worked both on the roof and inside the structure to control the fire. They discovered significant flames in the attic area and acted quickly to put it out. A primary search of the building was conducted, with no occupants found inside. There were no reported injuries.

To ensure operational safety and secure access to water, authorities temporarily closed part of West Pensacola Street during their response.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Units from Tallahassee Fire Department Stations 1, 4, and 8 responded to the scene, along with members of TFD’s Training Division, Command Staff, and new firefighters in orientation. The Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities, and Leon County EMS also assisted at the site.
