At around 5:16 a.m. on December 19, 2025, the Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Woodville community. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Hassell Road.

Firefighters from Stations 3 and 13, as well as units from Station 1, arrived to find a double-wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames. The building was vacant at the time of the fire. Crews used handlines and brought the fire under control within minutes, which prevented it from spreading to nearby properties.

The cause and origin of the fire remain undetermined.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS, and Talquin Electric Cooperative assisted at the scene.

This was the ninth residential structure fire reported by TFD in December. In line with the department’s Keep the Wreath Green initiative, another green bulb on their wreath will be replaced with a red one to reflect this incident.
