On November 22, 2025, the Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Pine View Drive at around 5:31 a.m. Firefighters found heavy flames coming from the back of a single-story house. Crews entered the home and discovered that the fire had already reached the attic and was spreading quickly. They were able to contain the fire and prevent it from affecting nearby buildings.

All residents evacuated safely after a primary search by firefighters. One person suffered minor burns but chose not to go to the hospital. During their response, firefighters also rescued a rabbit and a cat from inside the home.

Several units from TFD responded, including Stations 6, 3, 16, and 1. The Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities, and Leon County EMS assisted at the scene.

The American Red Cross was contacted to help those displaced by the fire. The cause is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
