Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart and his wife Jessica Jewel have purchased a waterfront home in Sea Ranch Lakes from Inter Miami’s Sergio Busquets for $9 million. Property records show the sale closed three months after Busquets listed the home at $9.8 million.

The deal was facilitated by Veroushka Maclean Volkert of One Sotheby’s International Realty and Vilma Datorre of Datorre Realty Group, who had the listing, while Betsy Rauch of VG Luxury Properties Realty represented the buyer.

Reinhart began his National Hockey League career with the Buffalo Sabres in 2014 before joining the Florida Panthers in 2021. He has won consecutive Stanley Cups with the team in 2024 and 2025 and is recognized as one of the top goal-scorers in the league.

Busquets, regarded as one of soccer’s leading defensive midfielders, played for FC Barcelona from 2008 until moving to Inter Miami alongside Lionel Messi in 2023. He retired from professional soccer in December.

Busquets and his wife Elena Galera bought the Seneca Road property for $8.7 million last year. The house, built on a 0.3-acre lot in 2023, measures approximately 7,100 square feet with seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, an additional half-bathroom, and features about 100 feet of lakefront on Lake Seneca.

Located just outside Fort Lauderdale, Sea Ranch Lakes is a gated community covering only about 0.2 square miles. It maintains its own police force and mayor and includes fewer than 200 homes along with a private beach club.

Volkert described Sea Ranch Lakes as appealing to athletes seeking privacy: “It’s very chill. We’ve had NFL players, NBA players, race car drivers, executives,” Volkert told The Real Deal in 2023. “People are respectful, and it’s private, and they respect their privacy.”

High-profile sales have contributed to attention around Sea Ranch Lakes real estate. In October another home on Seneca Road sold for a record $13 million according to public records. Currently a waterfront property at 34 Minnetonka Road is listed for sale at $20 million through Compass agent Tim Elmes.
