Several South Florida real estate firms announced a series of agent moves and new hires on Mar. 18, reflecting heightened activity during the region’s busy season.

The changes include David Hunt Solomon joining Coldwell Banker Realty after spending 14 years at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty. According to a news release, Solomon has closed more than $500 million in career sales and brokered the $49.5 million sale of a waterfront Star Island home for Lennar executive Stuart Miller in 2020. His wife, Jacqueline Oliva, also joined Coldwell Banker as an agent.

Douglas Elliman’s Hilda Jacobson moved to Compass, according to a news release. Jacobson began her real estate career in 2003 and focuses on Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, and Miami Beach markets. She closed $18 million in sales last year and had been with Elliman since 2014.

In Delray Beach, Premier Estate Properties hired Jerilyn Walter and Jaime Smith. Walter previously served as broker and owner of Posh Properties for 14 years, overseeing $1 billion in sales across Palm Beach and Broward counties.

Real Brokerage expanded its presence by bringing on the Sandra Rathe Team—a group of 20 agents led by Sandra Rathe—which sees $135 million in annual sales volume. Rathe is based in Fort Lauderdale and spent nearly a decade at Keller Williams.

In development news, BGI Companies appointed Matthew Marks as vice president of development and construction. Marks will oversee projects including Alba Palm Beach and new condos planned for a recently acquired waterfront site valued at $40.9 million. He joins BGI from Moss & Associates after nearly 12 years with the company.
