A new wildlife attraction called Sloth World is set to open on International Drive in Orlando in February 2026. Marketed as the world’s first “Slotharium,” the facility will provide a guided, small-group experience where visitors can observe sloths living freely within a rainforest-style habitat.

Unlike traditional animal exhibits, Sloth World will not use cages or glass barriers. Instead, guests will enter directly into the sloths’ environment, watching them move and interact naturally among trees and vines. The 7,500-square-foot space will house more than 40 sloths from multiple species, including some born at the site.

The experience is designed to focus on conservation and education. Tours are led by Sloth World Ambassadors—animal science professionals specializing in sloth behavior. These tours are structured for small groups with an emphasis on minimizing disturbance to the animals. All interactions are hands-off and centered around observing natural behaviors.

“We want guests to feel like they’ve stepped into the sloths’ world—not the other way around,” said Pete Bandre, Vice President of Sloth World. “There are no cages or barriers—you step right into their environment. It’s peaceful, natural and unlike anything else. We want every visitor to walk out with a deeper understanding of how extraordinary these animals are, why their protection matters, and how simple actions can help support sloth populations around the world.”

Sloth World will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., including holidays. Tickets cost $49 each, with presales already available online at www.slothworld.com.

The project was created by owner Ben Agresta and was inspired by his first sloth named Brucie. A portion of all revenue from Sloth World will go toward supporting sloth rescue and habitat protection initiatives in countries such as Guyana, Costa Rica, and Peru.
