Following significant underground utility upgrades over a stretch of more than 4,000 feet, Seventh Avenue in Tallahassee is set for final improvements. The last phase of the multi-year utility project will start on Monday, October 27. This effort represents an investment exceeding $3.3 million to enhance the area’s infrastructure.

The project covers the area between Centerville Road and N. Gadsden Street. As the final step, construction crews will mill and pave the section between Centerville Road and Duval Street. Work is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with only one lane closed at a time to keep the roadway open for traffic. The City has asked drivers to stay alert to ensure the safety of workers in the area. The work is expected to be completed by early 2026.
