Nominations have opened for the 5th Annual Bob Provitola Manufacturing Leadership Award, which recognizes volunteer leaders who have made significant contributions to Florida’s manufacturing sector. The award was established in memory of Bob Provitola, who served as Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and was the founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network.
According to FloridaMakes, “This award was created in memory of Bob Provitola, Division Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas and founding board chair of the FloridaMakes Network. Bob dedicated his career to advancing education, workforce development, and economic growth in Florida, all with the goal of building a stronger manufacturing economy and creating high-wage, high-skill jobs.”
The organization continues his legacy each year by honoring individuals who show outstanding advocacy, leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism within the industry. “Each year, we continue his legacy by recognizing individuals who demonstrate outstanding advocacy, leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism,” according to FloridaMakes.
Eligibility for the award is based on volunteer service that does not require nominees to be “loaned executives.” Nominations are submitted online and will be reviewed by a committee composed of manufacturers and stakeholders. All nominees are evaluated on their impact within Florida’s manufacturing community.
