Robert Miller, a real estate investor and marina owner based in Palm Beach, has purchased a home on Clarendon Avenue for $25 million. The property is located within the Mar-a-Lago Security Zone, an area that comes under Secret Service protection when former President Donald Trump is present.
According to property records, Miller and his wife Linnette acquired the house at 143 Clarendon Avenue from Marcia and William Rickman Jr. The purchase was financed with a $14 million loan from Taylor Made Lending. Carole and Brett Koeppel of Sotheby’s International Realty handled the listing, with Carole Koeppel representing the buyer.
Miller owns Jupiter Pointe Club & Marina in Tequesta and leads MLR Management LLC. He often collaborates on real estate investments in Palm Beach County with his son Myron “Mosie” Miller. In 2023, Mosie Miller sold a mansion in Palm Beach Gardens to BET co-founder Robert Johnson for $20 million. Later that year, he sold another oceanfront mansion in Palm Beach for $68.1 million.
In 2021, Robert and Linnette Miller sold a lakefront mansion to developer Todd Glaser for $23.8 million; Glaser resold it months later for $31.7 million. The Millers also own a 1.3-acre estate at Bear’s Club Drive in Jupiter, which they bought for $10.7 million in 2021.
The Rickmans had purchased the Clarendon Avenue home—known as “Villa Dolce”—for $9 million in 2008. Built in 1924 by architect Maurice Fatio, the house features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, one half-bathroom, a pool, and separate staff quarters across its 5,800 square feet.
Clarendon Avenue marks the upper boundary of the Mar-a-Lago Security Zone—a neighborhood that has seen increased luxury real estate activity since Trump’s electoral victory in 2024. Seven sales totaling $118.3 million closed shortly after the election as agents highlighted security and proximity to political power as key attractions.
The Rickmans sold Villa Dolce at its asking price after three months on the market. William Rickman Jr., part of a Maryland real estate family known for owning Delaware Park racetrack and casino for decades before selling it to Clairvest and Rubico Gaming in 2021, continues to hold other properties on Palm Beach Island including an oceanfront mansion at North Ocean Boulevard.
Sources told The Real Deal that this half-acre property is among those sought by billionaire Charles Simonyi as he expands his holdings on the island.
