Grammy-winning artist Marc Anthony has sold his condo at One Thousand Museum in downtown Miami for $8.6 million, according to property records and the listing information. Anthony, whose full name is Marco Antonio Muñiz, purchased the 8,400-square-foot townhouse unit in 2021 for $11 million, which equates to just over $1,300 per square foot. The recent sale price reflects a loss of about 22 percent from the previous purchase price, with the unit selling for $1,024 per square foot.

The transaction closed on Friday. The seller was a trust managed by Anthony’s manager, Charles Koppelman. The property had initially been listed last year for $11.4 million and was most recently asking $9.9 million before being sold.

Nexxos Realty’s Anamaria Velasquez represented the seller in this deal, while Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman acted on behalf of the buyer. Records show that Shadi LLC, a Delaware company, acquired the condo.

Anthony previously sold another South Florida property—a waterfront mansion in Coral Gables’ Cocoplum—for $22.4 million in 2020.

Anthony remains one of the top-selling salsa artists globally with more than 12 million albums sold and has won four Grammy Awards and eight Latin Grammy Awards.

One Thousand Museum has drawn several high-profile buyers over time, including soccer player David Beckham and designer Victoria Beckham who also own a waterfront home nearby on North Bay Road.

The building was designed by Zaha Hadid and features an exoskeleton structure wrapping around its balconies. Developed by Louis Birdman, Gilberto Bomeny, Kevin Venger, Gregg Covin and Todd Michael Glaser, it was completed in 2019 with a total of 62 stories and 84 units.

Earlier this year billionaire hedge fund manager Ken Griffin listed his penthouse at One Thousand Museum for $23 million; it is now priced at $23.8 million after previously selling for $18 million in 2021.
