The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship at Florida State University is launching its first Small Business Executive Program (SBEP) in Panama City, extending its services to Northwest Florida. For over twenty years, the institute has provided support and education to small business owners and nonprofit leaders in Tallahassee and throughout the state.

The new program, set for spring 2026, will be offered at no cost to participants. It targets CEOs and presidents of small businesses who want to improve their strategic thinking, boost performance, and develop sustainable growth plans. Participants will receive tools for better decision-making, guidance on business performance improvement, a customized long-term growth plan, and access to a network of peers and mentors.

Applications for SBEP Class I are due by March 11, 2026. Those accepted will be notified by March 18, with five sessions scheduled between April 1 and April 29. More details about the curriculum and application process can be found on the SBEP Panama City website.

The launch of this program represents an expansion of JMI’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs across Northwest Florida while continuing its longstanding service to business owners statewide.
