IAM members employed at Greyhound have approved a new three-year collective bargaining agreement that brings wage increases, enhanced benefits, and expanded career advancement options.
The nationwide contract provides general wage increases of 3.75% in the first year, 3.5% in the second year, and 3.25% in the third year for covered workers. Health and welfare contributions will rise over the course of the agreement but will continue to maintain the existing cost share arrangement for participants in the IAM Healthcare Plan.
Additional provisions include a revised vacation schedule with lower service requirements, an increased premium for commercial driver’s licenses (CDL), a higher tool allowance, a $50 reimbursement for prescription safety glasses, open enrollment aligned with contract renewal dates, and new recognition plus pay structures for Junior Master and Master Technicians who earn ASE certifications above journeyman rates.
“This was a challenging negotiation due to Greyhound’s transition to its new parent company Flix SE, but our team secured the best contract to date for our members,” said IAM Automotive Director Craig Hughes. “I want to thank IAM leadership for expanding our department and bringing on Special Representative Heather Hildebrand. Heather did an outstanding job leading these negotiations for the first time.”
Hildebrand noted her pride in the outcome: “Our members stood strong, and we delivered real gains in pay, benefits, and career opportunities,” said Hildebrand. “It was an honor to lead this negotiation alongside such a committed bargaining committee. This agreement reflects the strength of IAM members at Greyhound and the value they bring to the company every day.”
