IAM hosts class to encourage formation of retiree clubs

0Comments

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Retirees & Membership Services Department recently organized a week-long class at the William Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Maryland. The purpose of the program was to support members in establishing retiree clubs at both district and local levels.

According to the department, these clubs are intended to enhance retiree activism, offer resources for retired members, and foster mentorship opportunities for younger union members. Those interested in starting an IAM retiree club can find more information on the IAM’s official website at https://www.goiam.org/departments/general-secretary-treasurer/membership-services/.
