Gulf Coast State College’s Upward Bound TRiO Programs will host “The Rattler Experience: Brunch & Learn with FAMU” on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The event is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. at Student Union East, Room 232, at the college’s Panama City campus.
The program aims to provide high school and college transfer students in the Florida Panhandle with information about career opportunities, degree pathways, and transfer options after completing two years at Gulf Coast State College. Attendees will have opportunities for networking and interactive discussions to help align their academic plans with future goals.
The event is free and includes a complimentary meal. Participants will receive guidance on transfer pathways, admissions requirements, and academic programs at Florida A&M University (FAMU). A student panel featuring current FAMU students will share their experiences, discuss their degree choices, and provide advice about completing a four-year degree.
Kendall Johnson, a FAMU alumna from Panama City, organized the event to support local students as they consider their educational futures.
“This event is designed to help students explore career pathways, understand the transfer process, and see themselves thriving at a four-year university,” said Danielle Pierce, assistant director of TRiO Upward Bound.
