Florida State University hosted its 2025 Fulbright Reception on Tuesday, November 18, at the Longmire Building. The event brought together Fulbright Foreign Student Program grantees, university officials, faculty, and guests to recognize the achievements of international scholars studying at FSU.

Among those in attendance were Hanim Astuti, a Fulbright grantee from Indonesia pursuing a doctorate in the School of Information, and Hayk Bejanyan, a doctoral student from Armenia in the Askew School of Public Policy and Administration. Both delivered remarks during the reception. Other attendees included Emily Lu from the History Department and Andres Laguna from the College of Fine Arts.

Steve McDowell, assistant provost for International Initiatives at FSU, addressed the audience during the event. James Clark, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at FSU, gave opening remarks.

Ruby Lee, director of the Dr. Persis E. Rockwood School of Marketing and director of Global Initiatives in the College of Business, also spoke at the reception. Serhiy Kvit, rector of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and former Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science, was among those delivering remarks.

The reception provided an opportunity for attendees to connect and celebrate international academic exchange.
