Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on Instagram, drawing attention from both the entertainment world and relationship experts. Nari Jeter, a licensed marriage and family therapist at Florida State University (FSU), is available for interviews to discuss the engagement from a professional perspective.
Jeter serves as an associate teaching professor at FSU’s Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. She co-hosts “The Coupled Podcast,” which provides conversations focused on relationships. Last week, she was interviewed by Newsweek to share her thoughts on Swift and Kelce’s appearance on the “New Heights Podcast.” During that podcast episode, the couple displayed what is known as “compersion,” or feeling joy when witnessing another person’s happiness or success.
At FSU, Jeter works to strengthen interpersonal and family relationships by encouraging self-awareness, improving communication skills, and increasing understanding of family dynamics. She also shares research findings and clinical activities from FSU’s Family and Child Sciences Department through public speaking engagements in both university settings and the wider community.
Jeter is open for media interviews regarding the Swift-Kelce engagement. She can be reached at nari.jeter@fsu.edu.
