Retired National Football League player Rob Konrad bought a new waterfront house in Ocean Ridge, moving just two months after surviving for 16 hours at sea. Konrad, who played for the Miami Dolphins and now works as a financial adviser, sold his previous four-bedroom home at 19 Harbour Drive and purchased another four-bedroom property at 10 Harbour Drive.
Konrad sold his former residence for $5 million and paid about $4.8 million for the newer house. The sale marks a significant profit for Konrad and his wife, Tammy, who had purchased their previous home in 2019 for nearly $2 million. The earlier property featured three and a half bathrooms, a pool, and dock on a 0.2-acre lot.
The newly acquired house sits on a larger 0.4-acre lot and was designed by Randall Stofft in 2022. Property records show that Jeffrey and Galen Giannetti were the sellers of this home, which includes a waterfront pool but does not appear to have its own dock.
Matthew Moser and Nick Gonzalez of Serhant represented Konrad during the purchase process while Candace and Phil Friis from The Corcoran Group represented the sellers. Moser also represented the buyer of Konrad’s former home with John Stauffenberg of Serhant representing Konrad in that transaction.
Earlier this year, Konrad fell off his boat about nine miles from shore and swam roughly twenty-seven miles over sixteen hours before being rescued; his boat was later recovered by Bahamian authorities. Ocean Ridge is described as a small barrier island town near Boynton Beach in Palm Beach County covering about two square miles. In recent years it has seen several large real estate sales including what is believed to be its highest-priced deal—a $27 million mansion purchase on North Ocean Boulevard by a land trust in 2021.
