Fontainebleau Development names Raj Mohan as VP for JW Marriott Miami Turnberry

Fontainebleau Development has appointed Raj Mohan as vice president and managing director for the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura. Mohan comes to Fontainebleau from Pyramid Global Hospitality, where he was managing director of Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa. Saddlebrook is a 485-acre property featuring two golf courses, 43 tennis courts, and a sports academy. Mohan has previously held operations roles at hotels in Aruba, Jamaica, China, and Canada. In his new position, he will focus on guest experience and expanding business opportunities.

Linkvest Capital announced the addition of three members to its board of directors: Eddy Arriola, Nicolás Santos, and Juan David Perdomo. Linkvest is an alternative investment firm based in Miami and led by principal Camilo Niño. Arriola is CEO of Arriola & Co. and was previously founder, chairman, and CEO of Apollo Bank before it was sold to Seacoast National Bank in 2022. Santos is a founding partner at Ikalon in Bogotá, while Perdomo leads Vision Planning Group, also based in Bogotá.

Compass expanded its South Florida presence by bringing on two teams. Galleria International Realty in Fort Lauderdale joins Compass with 71 agents who will work from the company’s Las Olas Boulevard office. The team was founded in 2009 by Patricia Anglero and has closed over $2 billion in sales since inception.

Compass also added the Andrade Group—a 29-agent team led by Jorge Andrade and Henny Barreto—which records $50 million in annual sales. The group will be based out of Compass’ Coconut Grove and Winter Park offices and focuses on the Miami-Dade, Broward, and Orange county markets.

Serhant has hired agent Veronica Peters for its Delray Beach office. Peters has completed more than $88 million in career sales and joins Serhant from Premier Estate Properties where she worked as a Boca Raton-based agent since 2021.

Weiss Law brought Andy Gross onboard as Of Counsel. Gross comes from Gross Simon PLLC where he worked on projects including W Fort Lauderdale and Infinity at Brickell in Miami.
