FloridaMakes has announced it has surpassed $5 billion in total economic impact, marking a significant milestone for the organization as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. The announcement was made at FloridaMakes’ Annual Board Meeting, where leaders highlighted the results of a decade-long effort to support manufacturers across the state.
According to data released by FloridaMakes, as of the first quarter of 2025, the organization has generated $3.6 billion in new and retained sales, attracted $1 billion in new investment, achieved $331 million in cost savings, and contributed to the creation and retention of 27,884 jobs throughout Florida’s manufacturing sector.
“These numbers reflect more than just dollars—they represent real businesses growing, investing, and creating opportunities in our communities,” said John Krug, Director of Economic Development at Niagara Bottling and Chair of the FloridaMakes Board of Directors. “Crossing the $5 billion mark is a testament to what strong partnerships and a commitment to Florida’s manufacturers can achieve.”
Founded in 2015, FloridaMakes serves as the official representative for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Network within Florida. The organization works with manufacturers to promote innovation, improve productivity, and enhance global competitiveness.
“As we celebrate ten years of impact, this milestone underscores the value of FloridaMakes as a catalyst for economic development,” said Kevin Carr, FloridaMakes CEO. “The success belongs to our partners, clients, and the broader manufacturing ecosystem that powers our state.”
FloridaMakes continues collaborating with both public and private partners on initiatives related to manufacturing growth, workforce development, and supply chain resiliency.
