Florida State University has been named to Forbes’ America’s Best-In-State Employers 2025 list. The annual ranking, developed in partnership with Statista, recognizes organizations that demonstrate high levels of employee satisfaction and retention.
The list is compiled based on surveys of more than 160,000 employees across the United States who work for companies with at least 500 staff members. Survey participants are asked to rate their own employers and other organizations in their state based on reputation and feedback from acquaintances. The top-scoring employers in each state are included on the final list.
This year, FSU was one of only three universities in Florida to be recognized by Forbes, placing above several national companies.
“We are truly honored to be recognized among the best employers in the state of Florida,” said Associate Vice President for Human Resources Renisha Gibbs. “This acknowledgment reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a workplace where people feel valued and supported. Our employees are the driving force behind our achievements, and we’re proud to foster an environment that prioritizes their growth, well-being and satisfaction.”
FSU’s inclusion on the list highlights ongoing efforts by the university to improve the experience for its employees through leadership initiatives and talent strategies designed to attract and retain professionals.
