Florida State University will host its annual FSU Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, January 21. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering visitors an opportunity to learn about the university’s colleges, academic departments, and programs through exhibits and information tables located on the second and third floor rotundas of the Florida Capitol.
A pep rally is planned for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the plaza between the historic and new Capitol buildings. The program will include remarks from FSU President Richard McCullough and other special guests. Jeff Culhane will serve as emcee for the fourth consecutive year, with performances by FSU’s pep band Seminole Sound and cheerleaders.
Following FSU Day at the Capitol, celebrations marking Florida State University’s 175th anniversary will continue from noon to 2 p.m. at FSU’s Legacy Walk. Attendees can expect cupcakes, appearances by special guests, exclusive merchandise giveaways, and a designated photo area.
The festivities begin a day earlier with Seminole Evening on Adams, co-hosted by the FSU Office of Governmental Relations and the Student Government Association. This reception takes place Tuesday, January 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. on Adams Street between Jefferson Street and College Avenue. Student leaders will greet attendees and acknowledge state legislators during this event.
All events are free and open to the public. The university encourages fans to wear garnet and gold apparel throughout the celebrations.
