Florida State University (FSU) will hold its Celebration of International Education from October 27 to December 5, highlighting the university’s ongoing efforts in internationalization and global awareness.

FSU maintains over 100 international agreements, including both cooperative and bilateral exchange partnerships. The university supports faculty collaborations and student exchanges worldwide. Its global presence includes study centers in England, Spain, and Italy, a branch campus in Panama, exchange programs in 21 countries, and an on-campus population of 2,790 international students representing more than 125 countries.

The event series features a range of activities designed to engage students, faculty, staff, and guests with topics related to global education. These include panel discussions with visiting scholars from Ukraine about urban resilience; cultural presentations such as “Ukrainian Witches vs. Romanian Vampires”; a Study Abroad Fair; lectures by notable figures like Albie Sachs, former justice of South Africa’s Constitutional Court; open houses for Middle Eastern Studies; networking events; music performances from various world traditions; and recurring International Coffee Hours hosted by different student organizations.

Other highlights include a virtual summit by the Tyler Center for Global Studies featuring research presentations from fellows at multiple institutions and lectures on topics such as media narratives during conflict in Ukraine. The celebration concludes with the Global Scholars Showcase on December 5, where students present their community research projects conducted over the summer.
