The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) will hold a Special Commission Conference on November 20, 2025, to review a proposed Settlement Agreement from Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). The agreement is related to FPL’s pending rate case petition, which was filed earlier this year on February 28.

The Settlement Agreement was submitted to the FPSC on August 20 and involved discussions with various stakeholders. Those who signed the agreement include customer groups, businesses, and advocacy organizations such as the Florida Industrial Power Users Group, Florida Retail Federation, Florida Energy for Innovation Association, Walmart Inc., EVgo Services, Americans for Affordable Clean Energy, Circle K Stores, RaceTrac, Wawa, Electrify America, Federal Executive Agencies, Armstrong World Industries, and the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.

A two-week evidentiary hearing began on October 6. During this period all parties were able to present testimony and cross-examine witnesses regarding both the Settlement Agreement and FPL’s original rate request.

The Special Commission Conference will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Joseph P. Cresse Hearing Room at the Betty Easley Conference Center in Tallahassee.
