The Florida Medical Association (FMA) hosted medical students and residents from around the state at its downtown Tallahassee office for the annual Days at the Capitol event. The gathering took place as the Florida Legislature was in session.

Participants included members of the FMA’s Medical Student Section and Resident & Fellow Section. They visited the state Capitol to observe legislative proceedings and learn about how the FMA represents physicians licensed in Florida.

The FMA expressed appreciation to all attendees, stating, “We thank all of our participants for bringing their energy and enthusiasm to this year’s event!”

The event is part of ongoing efforts by the FMA to engage future medical professionals with policy-making processes that affect healthcare in Florida.
