Florida insurance industry leaders and national experts will gather at the 18th Annual Florida Chamber Insurance Summit to address ongoing challenges in the state’s insurance market. The summit, organized by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for December 4-5, 2025, at JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes in Orlando.
The event comes as Florida’s insurance sector continues to show signs of improvement. Recent developments include new carriers entering the market, reductions in rates, and relief from litigation costs. However, concerns remain about the overall risk level within the state.
Key topics on the agenda include automobile insurance, reinsurance and risk transfer strategies, medical malpractice rates, artificial intelligence applications in insurance, fraud prevention efforts, and resilience innovations.
Michael Yaworsky, Insurance Commissioner for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, will deliver a keynote address focused on the state’s insurance market. Panel discussions will feature industry executives such as Michael Carlson from Personal Insurance Federation of Florida; Tim Cerio from Citizens Property Insurance Corporation; Gina Wilson from Florida Hurricane Fund; and experts representing organizations like AON, RenaissanceRe, National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, Uber, Lakeland Regional Health, McGriff National Transportation Group, Mangrove Insurance and others.
“Over the last two and a half years, we’ve seen historic insurance reforms begin to take root and benefit consumers, but we’re not done yet,” said Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “The Insurance Summit is where Florida’s leaders come together to discuss the future of Florida’s insurance market, protecting consumers, and making Florida the best place to live, work, learn, and do business.”
Business leaders attending will have opportunities to network with lawmakers and regulatory officials during this two-day event. Registration details and further information are available at flchamber.com/insurance.
