The Florida Board of Bar Examiners has released the results of the July 2025 General Bar Examination, following approval from the Supreme Court of Florida. The announcement was made by Timothy Danninger, Chair of the Board and based in Jacksonville.
A total of 2,152 first-time applicants sat for the full Bar Examination on July 29-30, 2025, in Tampa. Of those, 1,687 passed, resulting in a passage rate of 78.4 percent among first-time test takers.
“The results of the July 2025 General Bar Examination are approved for release by the Supreme Court of Florida,” said Danninger.
The exam is composed of several parts: Part A and Part B of the General Bar Examination and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination. Some candidates take only one section if they have already completed other portions successfully or if they are repeating sections not previously passed. Applicants can also transfer a passing Multistate Bar Examination (MBE) score from another state and then only need to complete Part A in Florida.
