Florida A&M University (FAMU) has released the Fall 2025 issue of A&M Magazine, focusing on the university’s advancements in science, technology, engineering, architecture, and mathematics (STEAM). The magazine covers recent developments in research, campus facilities, and academic programs.

The cover story features President Marva B. Johnson’s first 100 days in office. In her statement, Johnson said: “As we look toward the future of this esteemed institution, FAMU is well positioned to prepare students for the careers of tomorrow—careers that demand a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, architecture, and mathematics. We are adapting FAMU to the changing landscape through strategic execution, collaboration, and bold leadership.”

The new edition highlights several key initiatives:

– FAMU has identified 45 programs as areas of Strategic Emphasis aimed at preparing students for fields such as engineering, nursing, cybersecurity, architecture, and supply chain management.
– The university received a $7.5 million National Science Foundation CREST Phase II grant to support research on sustainable materials and next-generation manufacturing.
– Recent events include the unveiling of a bronze statue honoring former President Frederick S. Humphries and renaming the Kinsey band hall.
– Other milestones featured are the 90th anniversary of the nursing program; recognition of Dupe Oloyede as Marching “100’s” first female head drum major; celebrations under “Year of the Rattler Woman”; and acknowledgment of the 2025 cohort for FAMU’s 40 Under 40.
– Infrastructure updates include construction projects such as Venom Landing residence hall; expansion of Hub Dining; renovation of Howard Hall; upgrades to Allied Health Sciences health center; and improvements to classrooms and laboratories.
