Florida A&M University has announced that its 2025 homecoming, themed the “Eternal World Tour,” will take place from October 12 to October 19 in Tallahassee. The event will include a variety of activities aimed at engaging students, alumni, and supporters from around the world.

The university said the theme is meant to highlight FAMU’s broad legacy and its impact on multiple generations. Shawnta Friday-Stroud, Ph.D., professor and executive director of strategic partnerships and business development, explained the significance of this year’s events. “Homecoming 2025 celebrates the spirit and traditions that make Florida A&M University unique. This year’s theme, ‘Eternal World Tour,’ reflects the global reach and timeless pride of the Rattler experience,” she said.

Friday-Stroud also noted that both students and advancement teams have prepared several activities for alumni and donors. “Our president, as well as everyone here at the university, is just so looking forward to Homecoming 2025. We can’t wait. And if there’s just one message, it would be: do everything with a purpose, but stay safe, because we truly cherish our FAMU community, and we want to make sure that we all not only have a great time, but that we all make it through,” she added.

Student Government Association Vice President Kennedy Williams described how much effort students put into organizing homecoming week: “I am incredibly excited to see this year’s homecoming come to fruition. My student team and I have been diligently planning for the past few months, and we are all eagerly awaiting homecoming! It’s so amazing to see so much anticipation behind this year’s homecoming and the week’s events.” She also credited faculty and staff for their support: “Our amazing faculty and staff were able to help us to accomplish such a feat. I hope that this year’s homecoming is one that everyone can enjoy. Eternal World Tour is a movement that we hope will set the precedent for homecomings to come. I urge everyone to go to all events, meet people and major brands, and experience the true #1 Homecoming Experience! #GoRattlers.”

The celebration will start with the Royal Court Coronation honoring Mister FAMU Miles Howard and Miss FAMU Edwina Fleuridor.

A concert organized by The Winners Circle in partnership with FAMU Student Government Association is scheduled for Saturday evening on October 18 at Bragg Memorial Stadium. Artists Latto, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Bossman Dlow, Boosie, and G Herbo are set to perform; doors open at 5:30 p.m., with music starting at 7 p.m.

The traditional parade will also take place on October 18 with floats featuring bands and student organizations beginning at 8:00 a.m., following early morning road closures for staging.

Later on game day—Saturday afternoon—the Rattlers football team will face Alcorn State University at Bragg Memorial Stadium with kickoff set for 4 p.m.

Other scheduled events during homecoming week include step shows, reunions, tailgates, Yard Fest celebrations for students as well as alumni mixers—all designed to bring together various parts of the university community.

More information about event registration—including parade participation—and updates are available on the official Homecoming website.
