Film Florida partners with WIFT-FL South Florida for MAD Arts tour and networking event

Film Florida, in partnership with WIFT-FL South Florida and Film Lauderdale, will host an after-hours tour and networking event at MAD Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at MAD Arts, located at 481 S Federal Hwy, Dania Beach.

MAD Arts is known as a museum and community space that explores the intersection of art and technology. It features interactive exhibits, outdoor sculptures, experimental labs, artist prototypes, research projects, and large-scale projections.

The evening includes a private tour of the museum and a presentation by Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman. Attendees can also participate in networking with drinks and light refreshments provided.

According to organizers: “All filmmakers and creators are welcome and encouraged to attend!”

The event is free for members of Women in Film & Television (WIFT), while guests are charged $10 for entry.
