Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will appear at Dorothy B. Oven Park’s annual Elf Night, which has been rescheduled to Monday, December 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., due to weather conditions.

The event will feature over 150,000 lights throughout the park, creating a festive atmosphere for visitors. Attendees can walk around the decorated grounds and meet Santa to share their holiday wishes.

According to organizers, “If you’d like to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus, upon arrival, check in on the front lawn to be assigned a ticket number on a first-come, first-served basis until all tickets are claimed.” The statement adds that parents should have cameras ready for photo opportunities and that hot cocoa and cookies will be available while supplies last.

For safety reasons, no vehicles will be allowed inside Oven Park during the event. Free public parking is offered next door at Thomasville Road Baptist Church. Motorists traveling along Thomasville Road are advised to use caution due to expected heavy traffic and increased pedestrian activity in the area during Elf Night. Drivers who do not plan to attend are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

The park’s holiday light display began on Thanksgiving night and will remain open through January 1. On all nights except Elf Night, visitors may drive or walk through the grounds depending on weather conditions.

For more details about Elf Night or the holiday light display at Dorothy B. Oven Park, residents can call the special holiday hotline at 850-891-3555.
