Erin Knight has been reappointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Board of Governors. Knight serves as president of Monument Capital Management and is also division president at A-Rod Corporation, the investment firm led by Alex Rodriguez. She was initially appointed to the Citizens board in 2021.

In other South Florida real estate personnel changes, MMG Equity Partners announced that Marcos Puente has been promoted to partner. Puente joined MMG as director of acquisitions in 2018 and was later named principal of acquisitions and development. In his new position, he will continue to oversee acquisitions and development, while also working on investments and portfolio growth for the firm.

Additionally, Tika Van Den Hurk’s Tika Team has moved to Compass after seven years with Douglas Elliman. The Fort Lauderdale-based group consists of Van Den Hurk, Marcos Guerrero, and Dr. Julian Delaney. Over the past decade, they have closed more than $500 million in sales. The team will now be based out of Compass’ Las Olas office.

Ruben Alvarez and Karla De La Torre are returning to Douglas Elliman to join the Eklund-Gomes team, where they will lead sales at 72 Carlyle, a planned 20-story residential tower in North Beach developed by Lefferts. Alvarez will serve as sales director for the project. Both previously left Elliman in 2023 to work on sales for another residential development in North Bay Village.
