Daymond John, known as a businessman and television personality on “Shark Tank,” has leased 3,000 square feet at Robert Rivani’s office building in South Beach, according to a Mar. 31 announcement. The lease was revealed through a video featuring John that was posted on Instagram by Rivani.

The move highlights the continued demand for high-end office space in Miami Beach. John said in the video, “You have to make a place where people want to come.”

John’s new lease at The Rivani building, located at 1691 Michigan Avenue in Miami Beach, will house all of his companies. His ventures include the hip hop apparel company Fubu and brand management consultancy The Shark Group. A representative for Rivani confirmed that this marks a relocation for John’s businesses but did not specify their previous location.

Rivani’s firm is currently working on more than $100 million worth of renovations at the seven-story, 163,000-square-foot mixed-use property. Completion is expected this summer.

The size of John’s lease reflects a broader trend among executives and companies moving into South Florida: many are initially taking smaller spaces as they establish or expand their presence in the region. Industry observers note that executives relocating from states like California and New York often seek boutique offices near their new homes before considering future expansion.

Other tenants who have recently signed leases at The Rivani include Playboy owner PLBY Group—which is moving its headquarters from Los Angeles—a gym operated by Monarch Athletic Club, residential brokerage Jills Zeder Group of Coldwell Banker, hedge fund Divisadero Capital, and Prime Longevity medical practice.
