The U.S. Census Bureau has announced new data-sharing partnerships with Brigham Young University-Idaho and the University of North Carolina System for its Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) experimental data product. This initiative provides information on earnings and employment outcomes for graduates, categorized by degree level, major, institution, and state.
With the addition of these two partners, 17 more post-secondary institutions are now included in the PSEO dataset. The coverage now extends to 952 institutions and represents about 35% of all college graduates in the United States.
The PSEO relies on collaborations between universities, university systems, state education departments, state labor market information offices, and the Census Bureau. Users can access this data through various tools such as the PSEO Explorer tool, raw files, and the Census API.
For further details about this data product, interested parties can visit the official PSEO data page.
There is no separate news release for this announcement; it was issued as a tip sheet only.
