Cartier opens boutique in Palm Beach as SunLife Organics plans Wynwood debut

French luxury brand Cartier has opened a new boutique in Palm Beach. The store is located at 70 Royal Poinciana Plaza, within the historic Royal Poinciana Playhouse. According to Cartier’s news release, the playhouse was completed in 1958 and designed by architect John Volk in the Regency Revival style. The Royal Poinciana Plaza spans 192,000 square feet and was developed in the 1950s.

The plaza is owned by a trust led by Sidney Spiegel, while WS Development holds a leasehold for the property. Recent leases at Royal Poinciana Plaza include Hill House Home, ScandyCandy, and La Coqueta. Details on the exact size of Cartier’s leased space were not disclosed.

Cartier, founded nearly two centuries ago and led by Cyrille Vigneron, is recognized for its jewelry, watches, leather goods, fragrances, and accessories.

In Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, SunLife Organics will open a juice bar and organic products shop at Calle Collective inside Fisher Brothers’ Joule House apartment building at 2200 Northwest First Avenue. SunLife leased 2,000 square feet and expects to open in the third quarter. David Abrams, Eliot Goldschmidt and Jeff Jacobson from Masonre represented both Fisher Brothers and SunLife; Clark Briffel and Myles Grossman also represented Fisher Brothers.

SunLife Organics is owned by Khalil Rafati. The eight-story Joule House with 308 units was completed this year by New York-based Fisher Brothers. Calle Collective features 19 murals created by local Miami artists.

In Fort Lauderdale’s Cypress Creek area, Pinecrest Square shopping center has reached full occupancy following several new leases. Trustbridge Hospice Foundation signed for a 4,600-square-foot hospice furniture showroom at 903-999 East Cypress Creek Road. Other tenants include Bagels & Co., which leased 2,100 square feet; Bio Health IV Clinic with a 1,500-square-foot lease; and Guys & Dolls barbershop renewing its lease for another 1,500 square feet under new terms.

Three additional tenants—Tacos Los Guachi’s (1,700 square feet), Kavasutra Kava Bar (1,400 square feet), and Dr. Henry Merritt (1,200 square feet)—have renewed their leases as well.

Pinecrest Square is owned by Entity 903 Cypress Creek after purchasing it for $10.3 million in June. The shopping plaza covers about 40,000 square feet on a two-acre lot and was built in 1980.
