Amelia Island has been recognized by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the Top 10 Islands in the United States, securing the No. 9 spot in the publication’s 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. This marks more than 15 years that Amelia Island has received such recognition from Condé Nast readers and makes it the only Florida island to be honored this year.

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa and The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island were also named among the Best Resorts in Florida, ranking fourth and ninth respectively. These placements reinforce Amelia Island’s reputation for providing high-quality hospitality options.

Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, commented on the continued acknowledgment: “Longevity on this list speaks volumes. In an era when travel tastes shift quickly, Amelia Island continues to inspire loyalty from discerning travelers year after year. What keeps us here isn’t hype; it’s the combination of natural beauty, a walkable historic downtown, and the genuine welcome guests feel from our community. Visitors don’t just discover Amelia; they return, often for generations.”

The results are based on feedback from more than 575,000 readers who participated in what is considered one of the travel industry’s longest-running awards programs. The complete list of winners can be found at CNTraveler.com and will appear in Condé Nast Traveler’s November issue.

Amelia Island is located in Northeast Florida and is known for its beaches, wildlife, and historical sites including Fernandina Beach—a former Victorian seaport now home to a variety of shops and restaurants.
