Adriana Carreno has joined the Cenfluence initiative as its Life Sciences Cluster Manager, according to a Mar. 25 announcement.
Carreno brings experience in building programs and managing ecosystems that help turn new technologies into active markets. Her role at Cenfluence will focus on supporting life sciences companies in Central Florida, particularly those involved in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health technologies.
Previously, Carreno led the development of Plug and Play’s Semiconductor Program at NeoCity. In this position, she worked with startups, corporations, investors, and public partners to encourage commercialization efforts in defense technology, advanced manufacturing, and deep tech sectors. The announcement notes her work centers on “designing environments where capital, technology and decision-makers converge to drive outcomes.”
Her background also includes strategic communications and program development roles at the Orlando Economic Partnership. There she contributed to regional growth initiatives and brand strategy efforts. Carreno holds a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and fitness technology from Keiser University.
Earlier in her career she worked within rehabilitation and performance-focused settings before moving into broader collaborations across public, private, and community sectors. These experiences have shaped her approach toward accessibility and innovation for real-world impact.
As Life Science Cluster Manager for Cenfluence, Carreno is expected to help startups identify funding opportunities, facilitate industry partnerships, provide business development support tailored to their needs, and act as a connector between companies seeking domestic or international growth.
